Applicant Requirements:
Candidates must meet all Georgia state and local requirements, including:

Masters, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

Valid Georgia PSC (Professional Standards Commission) certification in School Psychology

Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred
-
Strong understanding of IEP processes, special education law, and assessment tools

Ability to pass background checks and fingerprinting as required by the district
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning

Analyze assessment data and prepare formal reports
-
Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success
-
Provide individual and group counseling, behavioral interventions, and crisis support
-
Assist with Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) initiatives
-
Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP development, and reevaluation processes
-
Promote positive school climate and student mental wellness
